The CCSD Community Engagement team seeks to engage with our community and build connections with external partners in order to increase support for our students, staff, and schools, while supporting the goals of the District’s Strategic Plan.

The Engagement & Events office strives to showcase and support the success of students, staff, and CCSD as a whole by coordinating district-wide events and providing direct support to students in the Indian Education Opportunities Program, Safe Routes to Schools, and the Academic Support and Community Service Center.
FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
Students thrive when their families are engaged. The Family Engagement department provides all CCSD families with valuable learning opportunities to support student success.
TEAM ENGAGEMENT
The mission of the Team Engagement office is to strengthen communication, customer service, and employee recognition programs to enhance school climate throughout the District.
FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER
The CCSD Family Support Center provides support to students and families through information, education, and community resources. Our aim is to aid student success by addressing students’ social, physiological, emotional, and linguistic needs.
The inaugural Henderson Paddle Battle brought together teams from 13 CCSD schools for an evening of friendly pickleball competition, connection, and school pride.
Congratulations to Mannion Middle School for taking the top spot and earning $500 for their athletics program. Hannah Marie Brown Elementary and Foothill High School also delivered standout performances, finishing second and third.
A special thank you to our partner, Chicken N Pickle Henderson, for hosting an incredible event and creating a fun space for CCSD employees and their families to come together, build camaraderie, and celebrate their schools.

Today, we celebrate the incredible administrative professionals who are the backbone of our schools and offices, keeping everything organized, running smoothly, and supporting students, staff, and families with care and dedication every day. To celebrate, we honored four outstanding administrative professionals who go above and beyond. Each was recognized as an Exemplary Employee and received a gift card from our partners @silverstatecu. We are truly grateful for all administrative professionals and the vital role you play in making a difference.

Congratulations to Jaime Tabeek, GATE Teacher at Jones Blackhurst Elementary, and Lindsay Powers, Teacher at Bonanza High School. Their dedication, energy, and commitment to students continue to inspire every day.

A true example of leadership, collaboration, and positivity, Treasure creates a classroom where every student feels valued and inspired to grow. Her hands-on, student-centered approach brings learning to life through creativity, energy, and meaningful engagement, making her classroom a place of joy and discovery each day.
The team brought three current players along with their mascot, Decker, to celebrate the moment and share that she will be honored at the April 18 home game. She will also receive a gift card and a two-night stay at Rio Hotel and Casino.
Congratulations to Ms. Watanabe on this well-deserved recognition!
