After connecting with Park Elementary School to learn about their greatest needs, the team at Valiente Mott stepped up in a big way. The school requested 50 filled backpacks for students with the greatest needs, along with essential classroom supplies for teachers and they delivered everything that was requested and more!

Keeping the excitement for reading alive all summer long at the Take 5 to Care Book Bus Stop event. Students had the opportunity to choose two books to take home, enjoy a snow cone, and gather for story time with the Fox 5 Vegas anchors.
A special thank you to Findlay Subaru of Las Vegas for hosting this event and for its continued support of the Book Bus. Partnerships like this help bring the magic of reading directly to our students and inspire a lifelong love of books, one stop at a time.

On the last day of school, Ms. Edie Guerra was surprised with a celebration honoring her more than 20 years of service and impact in education. With the support of the entire Gunderson Middle School staff and cheer team, she was recognized by colleagues, students, and administrators whose lives she has touched throughout her career. Nominated by a fellow educator, Ms. Guerra was surprised by digital creator @serenaneel with a catered lunch for the school staff and thoughtful gifts courtesy of @michaelsstores . While this surprise highlighted Ms. Guerra’s incredible contributions, we are deeply appreciative of all educators concluding their careers this year and the lasting impact they have made on students, families, and school communities. Congratulations, Ms. Guerra!
