From the classroom to Allegiant Stadium, CCSD educators took the field!
CCSD teachers and staff ran out of the tunnel during the UNLV Rebels’ home opener as part of CCSD Day, giving our employees a one of a kind opportunity to experience game day from the field. We also celebrated UNLV Teacher of the Game, Yesenia Talavera, as she was honored on the field.
Thank you to UNLV Athletics for helping us put the spotlight on the educators who show up for our students every day.

Each educator received $1,000 for their classroom, and each of their schools received an incredible $50,000 grant to support school makeovers focused on literacy and STEM education!
⭐️Grace Angel, Pre-K Teacher at Bunker Elementary School, is a selfless, humble, and dedicated educator who works tirelessly to elevate her entire school community.
⭐️Sonja Lawrence, 6th Grade ELA Teacher at Escobedo Middle School, is an exceptional educator who consistently goes above and beyond to ensure every student has the opportunity to achieve academic excellence.
⭐️Stephanie Richmond, Pre-K Teacher at Hayden Elementary School, inspires confidence, builds connections, and makes a lasting difference in her students’ lives.
