Academic Support

The Community Engagement team facilitates numerous curriculum-based field trips,  program opportunities, and contests throughout the year that connect business and community resources with schools to enrich the educational experiences for CCSD students. Curriculum-based opportunities include science, art, literacy, social studies programs, and more sponsored by various partners. These programs actively engage students and enhance classroom education.

Connecting Hands Offering Lifelong Learning Adventures (CHOLLA)

In partnership with Connecting Hands Offering Lifelong Learning Adventures (CHOLLA) agencies, the Community Engagement team offers educational programming that supports student curricula and the Nevada Academic Education Standards. CHOLLA is a consortium of Nevada agencies that collaborate with CCSD to provide opportunities for connecting and extending classroom learning (e.g., field trips, guest speakers, school assemblies).
