COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
The CCSD Community Engagement team seeks to engage with our community and build connections with external partners in order to increase support for our students, staff, and schools, while supporting the goals of the Districtโs Strategic Plan.

The Engagement & Events office strives to showcase and support the success of students, staff, and CCSD as a whole by coordinating district-wide events and providing direct support to students in the Indian Education Opportunities Program, Safe Routes to Schools, and the Academic Support and Community Service Center.
FAMILY ENGAGEMENT
Students thrive when their families are engaged. The Family Engagement department provides all CCSD families with valuable learning opportunities to support student success.
TEAM ENGAGEMENT
The mission of the Team Engagement office is to strengthen communication, customer service, and employee recognition programs to enhance school climate throughout the District.
FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER
The CCSD Family Support Center provides support to students and families through information, education, and community resources. Our aim is to aid student success by addressing studentsโ social, physiological, emotional, and linguistic needs.

Thanks to the support of Evan @tamahil, Marissa @marissaupchurch, and our donor, the Kenneth Lin & Siriwan Singhasiri Foundation, three CCSD schools and over 300 students were treated to a Book Reading and Dance Party led by actors, dancers, and Martee Dares to Dance authors Harry Shum, Jr. @harryshumjr and Shelby Rabara @shelbyrabara. ๐๐ป๐๐บ๐๐๐ฝ
Not only did each student receive a free book during their visits, they were also reminded to take courage and celebrate themselves and their identities. ๐ค๐ฅณ๐ฅฐ
Talk about an amazing way to celebrate literacy and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage month! ๐ซถ๐ผโค๏ธ#ThankYou #AAPI @clarkcountysch #ForbussES @ortwein_innovators @goolsbygreyhounds

Ms. Danielle Flanigan, Dance teacher at Spring Valley High School, brings the rhythm and passion to her students by helping them express themselves and build confidence through dance. Her dedication earned her the A+ Educator Award, plus $500 for herself and $500 for her school. Way to go, Ms. Flanigan!

We wrapped up our 2025 Teacher Appreciation Week with a couple of incredible surprises ๐๐ฅณ๐, thanks to our partners from Silver State Schools Credit Union and Towbin Kia! From 222 nominations, 2 โ๐ผexemplary teachers were chosen as recipients of a car giveaway and a check presentation.
