A memorable moment for Ms. Kristina Carmona, Special Education Teacher at Basic Academy of International Studies, as she was named our Rally in the Valley winner and surprised with a new Toyota RAV4 during an energy-filled pep rally!
Ms. Carmona goes above and beyond for her students, leading community outings that build real-world skills and running the school’s Best Buddies program to foster inclusion and meaningful friendships. A reliable vehicle will support the work she pours into her students every day.

In partnership with Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Las Vegas Pro Kicker Daniel Carlson, and the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the CCSD Partnership Office teamed up to host the “Kickin’ for Chicken Monday” Program. On Mondays, from September 15 through December 29, Raising Cane’s will donate 15% of net sales at any local Raising Cane’s to selected CCSD Title I schools.
On the 4th Day of Recognition, Robert O. Gibson Leadership Academy was selected to receive the first donation check. The donation will fund sports-related needs such as uniform replacements for five of their sports programs.
