The CCSD Community Engagement team seeks to engage with our community and build connections with external partners to increase opportunities and resources for our students, staff, and schools, while supporting the goals of the District’s Strategic Plan.
For many students, school bus drivers are the first smile in the morning and the last goodbye in the afternoon. They help set the tone for each day while ensuring every child arrives safely.
This School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, we’re proud to recognize the care and commitment they bring to our schools. In partnership with Richard Harris Law Firm, we were grateful to provide coffee, donuts, and a few small tokens of appreciation to these dedicated professionals.
To all of our bus drivers, thank you for the vital role you play in supporting our students and school communities every day.

More than a PE teacher, Mr. Swenson is shaping how students move through life. From building confidence and healthy habits to teaching that true strength is measured by how well you move, not how much you lift, his impact reaches far beyond the gym. A mentor to both students and future educators, he was surprised as this month’s Game Changer award recipient, earning tickets to a Vegas Golden Knights game along with a $1,000 in recognition of his incredible impact.
