Parents and family provide the primary educational environment for children, and students thrive when their families are engaged in helping them learn. Research has shown that family engagement is one of the best predictors of student success. CCSD welcomes the families of our students to get involved with their schools and with our District as a whole. A list of opportunities is provided below.
- Ensure your child attends school every day
- Attend a workshop through the University of Family Learning
- Use Infinite Campus to monitor your child’s attendance and ensure school work is completed throughout the school year
- Visit a Family Engagement Center to participate in learning activities to support your child
- Communicate with your child’s teacher
- Attend parent teacher conferences
- Be a part of your school’s School Organizational Team (SOT)
- Volunteer at your school
- Engage with CCSD on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube) and help us spread positive news
- Nominate a teacher for the Heart of Education Awards – REOPENS FALL 2019
- Support CCSD’s legislative platform and follow activities at the 2019 Legislature
- Become a substitute or guest teacher
