CCSD Engagement Unit News

A huge congratulations to Ms. Wendy Embleton, our monthly RAVE Review winner. Selected from hundreds of nominations, this outstanding 5th grade teacher was recognized for the care and consistency she brings to her students on and off the field. From dedicating her Saturdays to the O’Roarke flag football team to creating a classroom where students feel supported and motivated, her impact is clearly felt. We love celebrating employees who make such a meaningful difference. Great job, Ms. Embleton!

On the 11th Day of Recognition, we want to highlight our partnership and express our gratitude for the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation. This is their 24th year supporting the community and, this week, they completed toy drops to 10 CCSD schools and the CCSD Family Support Center. At today’s event, the Burn Foundation firefighters, founder, and volunteers and Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Grinch surprised all 653 students at J.T. McWilliams Elementary School with toy donations and a fire truck parade. Their 2025 goal is to spread their holiday love to 32,000 children. ❤️🚒 #DestinationDistrict @clarkcountysch @theburnfoundation

A special shout out to Superintendent Ebert, Region leadership, and the School Community Partnership Action Council for joining us for the surprise!
