How To Engage

Community Engagement Team

The Community Engagement Team is here to assist you in navigating the many options available for getting connected with Clark County School District schools, students, and faculty. Our goal is to match a business with every one of our 360 schools. Likewise, if you are an individual wanting to get involved we can introduce you to the many programs and ways available to contribute your time and talents.  Contact us today at EngageCCSD@nv.ccsd.net

Family Engagement Services

Parents and family provide the primary educational environment for children; Students thrive when their families are engaged in helping them learn. Family engagement is a partnership recognizing the collaboration between family, school, and community to make sure every single student succeeds. The mission of the Family Engagement Department is to empower and educate our families to support their child’s overall well being and academic achievement.

Family Engagement provides academic social-emotional parent/guardian training through the University of Family Learning (UFL). Furthermore, parent/guardian workshops and online videos are available to assist families of English Language Learners with navigating support and available services. To learn more about the program, contact FamilyEngagement@nv.ccsd.net.

Safe Routes to School

Safe Routes to School (SRTS) programs work to enable and encourage children to safely walk and bike to school. Physical activity is a key component of academic achievement, so walking and biking can play a big role in a student’s life. The Clark County School District SRTS program is federally funded and supported by community partners, as well as local and state government agencies. SRTS programs include bicycle and pedestrian safety assemblies and events; educational workshops; safety and encouragement campaigns; and more to help schools reach their safety and wellness goals. Volunteers are always welcome and needed to support activities and events, click here for more info.
