On the 11th Day of Recognition, we want to highlight our partnership and express our gratitude for the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation. This is their 24th year supporting the community and, this week, they completed toy drops to 10 CCSD schools and the CCSD Family Support Center. At today’s event, the Burn Foundation firefighters, founder, and volunteers and Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Grinch surprised all 653 students at J.T. McWilliams Elementary School with toy donations and a fire truck parade. Their 2025 goal is to spread their holiday love to 32,000 children. ❤️🚒 #DestinationDistrict @clarkcountysch @theburnfoundation
A special shout out to Superintendent Ebert, Region leadership, and the School Community Partnership Action Council for joining us for the surprise!

We brought a little extra holiday magic to Boulder City High School by surprising two incredible staff members with the Kutner Cares Community Champion Award, tickets to a Vegas Golden Knights game, and the unforgettable experience of riding the Zamboni. Congratulations to Barbara Agostini, Registrar, and Brendan Holly, Music Teacher. What a joyful way to celebrate these truly deserving members of the BCHS family this season.

For the 10th Day of Recognition, we would like to thank the Las Vegas Hospitality Association (LVHA) for their continued partnership and for hosting their 16th annual “Fill a Bag with Cheer” event. At today’s event, over 50 LVHA members and volunteers distributed filled bags that were specially designed for the children at the school. This year, they sponsored 474 students from Doris Hancock Elementary School, and have worked directly with the principal and counselors at the school to identify those in need of a Holiday Cheer. #DestinationDistrict @lvhospitality @clarkcountysch @dorishancocklv

On the 9th Day of Recognition, we’d like to highlight various community partners who came together for one event – Grinchmas at Manch Elementary School. For the 4th year in a row, Clark County Commissioner Marilyn Kirkpatrick and Shoes that Fit, alongside volunteers from LVMPD, joined forces to provide a community school event full of holiday magic, games, food, and a gift of new athletic shoes to over 600 students. This experience will impact and increase the students’ love for learning and community connection for years to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Special shout to Trustee Dominguez, Region 1 Superintendent Tomlinson, and School Associate Superintendent Markouzis for supporting and volunteering at the event. #DestinationDistrict @clarkcountysch @shoesthatfitcharity @lydiardominguez

As we recognize those who give so much, the incredible Second Grade team at Doris French Elementary was surprised with $1,000, made possible by our partners @cfpextrayard and @cfpplayoff. ✨ We’re also proud to partner with @lvbowlhuddle to celebrate and spotlight the amazing work of our educators. Principal Villarreal-Crabb also received $5,000 to purchase supplies in support of students and staff. 💙📚 This recognition is part of an ongoing initiative honoring outstanding educators leading up to the College Football Playoff Championship at Allegiant Stadium in January 2027.
