🎉 🥳🙊 On the 4th day of Teacher Appreciation Week, alongside our community partner of 24 years Walker Furniture @walkerfurniture and @clarkcountysch leadership, family, and friends, we surprised Mrs. Melissa Bechtler with a Southeast CTA Teacher’s Lounge Refresh reveal and a $250 gift card as a thank you being for being a loving and inspirational teacher.
In her student Ionel’s winning Walker Furniture Teacher Appreciation Annual Writing Contest essay, Ionel stated, 🫶🏼🧑🏼🏫🍎 “Thanks to Mrs. Bechtler, I now know I want to pursue bilingual early childhood education. She helped me discover that I want to create inclusive, loving spaces for children to grow just like she does.”
As a result of the winning essay, SECTA received brand-new furniture and decor for their lounge, and Ionel received a $250 gift certificate. Thank you, Walker Furniture!! 🤗🤗🤗 @secta.prek

Not even Round 2 of the 🏒❤️🥅🏆 Stanley Cup Playoffs will stop the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation from showing up for our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week! They will drop by 16 schools to thank, celebrate, and honor hardworking @clarkcountysch educators by leaving treats, hugs, and VGK swag, so please be on lookout for them in case you’re next. 👀😏
As a bonus this afternoon, they 🙊🥳 surprised 2✌🏼schools with 50 pairs of tickets to the May 8 Playoffs game. Thank you, @vgkfoundation. #GoKnightsGo #2025TAW
